Mix96 Tour De Vale Charity Bike Ride to Offer Free Bike Checks

WheelPower, the National Charity for wheelchair sport are delighted to announce that those who sign up for the Charity bike ride will be offered a free bike safety check on 2 June 2019, in advance of the main event, courtesy of their main partner, Mountain Mania in Tring.

With a new 100k route planned for this year’s Mix96 Tour De Vale Charity Bike Ride in Buckinghamshire, there is no better time than to ensure your bike is ready for the summer.

A well-maintained bicycle gives safety, reliability, and is a pleasure to ride. Ian, Manager at Mountain Mania comments: ‘We’re really pleased to be offering free bike checks for the Mix96 Tour de Vale this year. Anyone who signs up to take part in this amazing Charity event will not only benefit from this complementary bike check, but will also be transforming the lives of wheelchair users across the country. Whether it be as a participant or a volunteer marshal, your involvement is invaluable. Get the family and friends together, the event makes a wonderful day out for all.’

‘A great top tip is to check your brake pads, tyres and gears for wear and tear, not only as a scheduled check once a year, but after every bike ride, and rather than at the beginning of the next.’

Val, a volunteer marshal at previous Mix96Tour de Vale Charity Bike Rides comments on her experience and urges others to take part: ‘It’s a fantastic event for friends and family. You’ll get so much reward from helping out on the day, everyone is so friendly and there’s a wonderful team spirit about it all! Please do spend a couple hours of your time, it really will make a huge difference to the lives of disabled people.’
