Naomi looks to the future of Red Nose Day

Berkhamsted tarot card reader Naomi Stevens is once again putting her talents into raising funds for Comic Relief.

Naomi won the charity’s 2025 Solo Superstar award, having raised over £4,000 since she began fundraising for Comic Relief in 1985.

Now, Naomi is planning for the 2026 Red Nose Day on 20 March, and hoping to increase her total raised, as she has each year since she began.

She told Berkhamsted Living: ‘When Comic Relief started in 1985 so did my fundraising. (I loved the concept of laughter being the best medicine.) At nearly 40 I was a single mum working as a freelance computer applications trainer. The involvement of the company where I was teaching that first Red Nose Day triggered my interest. Having my tarot cards with me, I offered my student a reading in exchange for a donation. This success prompted me to do the same for the rest of my working life. Since retiring I’ve arranged sessions at various venues and now offer astrology (star sign) tasters as well as tarot.’

She added: ‘If you’re reading this, please help me to achieve my goal. Venue suggestions, session hosts or individual taster bookings, either in person or online, are welcome.’
