Planned Roadworks in the East of England week commencing 7 January

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 4 January but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

M1 junction 2 Mill Hill, Greater London: survey work

Work to improve journeys by undertaking survey work will start this week. The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 7 January. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A41 and M1 junction 4.

M1 junction 4 Edgware, Greater London: surfacing

Work to improve journeys by surfacing the carriageway will start this week. The southbound exit slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 6am, from Wednesday 9 January for 3 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M1 junction 1, A406 to Brent Cross, A41 and M1 junction 4.

M1 junction 6 Bricket Wood, Hertfordshire: surfacing

Work to improve journeys by surfacing the carriageway will start this week. The southbound entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, from Wednesday 9 January for five nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the M25 junction 13, A30, A308 and M3 junction 1.

M25 junction 18 Chorleywood, Hertfordshire: surfacing

Work to improve journeys by surfacing the carriageway will start this week. The anti-clockwise entry slip road will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, from Wednesday 9 January for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 19 and return.

M25 junction 21 (M1), Hertfordshire: electrical work

Work to improve journeys by carrying out electrical work will start this week. The clockwise and anti-clockwise northbound M1 link roads will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, from Monday 7 January for 7 nights. Work on Friday will start at 11pm. A clearly signed diversion for the clockwise link road will be in place via junction 21a, A414, M1 junction 8. A clearly signed diversion for the anti-clockwise link road will be in place via junction 21a exit slip, A405 to Park Street roundabout and A414 Northbound to M1 junction 8.

M25 junction 25 Enfield, Hertfordshire: carriageway repair

Work to improve journeys by carrying out repairs to the carriageway will start this week. The anti-clockwise carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5:30am, from Saturday 12 January for two nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the exit and entry slip roads at junction 25.

M40 Swakleys to Denham, Buckinghamshire: carriageway sweeping

Work to improve journeys by carrying out carriageway sweeping will start this week. The westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Monday 7 January. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via B483 southbound, A4020 northbound to Denham roundabout.

The eastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 10pm and 5am, on Tuesday 8 January. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via A4020 southbound, B483 northbound to Swakleys roundabout.
