Plant Fair in Prospect

Sunday 15 May is the date of this year’s Ashridge Spring Plant Fair. It starts at 11am, but the thousands of plants donated by nurseries and gardens attract what seem like thousands of visitors, so you may be well advised to get there early. Pass the time by climbing the monument, perhaps…

The following weekend, on Saturday 21 May, it’s the Markyate Plant Sale supporting The Hospice of St Francis from 10am. This is Markyate’s garden party of the year, selling bedding plants, perennials, vegetables and herbs. Don’t just go for the plants, though: sit and soak up the live music and enjoy the homemade cakes and refreshments.
