Portraits for Christmas
The Tring People: Portraits of a Town book project is still going strong – with various retail outlets available, including Beechwood Fine Foods, Fancy That and Tring History Society’s shop at the museum.
The huge collection of stunning black and white portrait photographs is peppered with local people’s stories and a central section brings some of Tring’s landmarks to life in full colour. Over 400 individuals feature, so it’s highly likely that anyone with a connection to Tring will recognise several faces!
Adam Hollier self-funded this project and he would love to see all books in the limited edition print-run going to good homes. Well over half the book stock has sold, and his goal to cover the costs of the project and make a donation to local charity, The Hospice of St Francis, is getting closer to being realised.
In the run up to Christmas, Adam has launched an online print shop from which framed or unframed photos can be purchased in a variety of sizes. The online gallery in the shop holds all the photos that Adam took during the project, even those that were not included in the final book.
The book itself and framed prints would make a fabulous Christmas gift for friends or family. Adam can guarantee delivery right up until Friday 21 December.
