Recycle your Christmas Tree this January and support your local Hospice
This January, the Hospice of St Francis is once again making it easy to say goodbye to your Christmas tree while supporting local familes in need. On Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 January 2026, teams of dedicated volunteers will be out across the community collecting real Christmas trees directly from doorsteps.
In return, households are asked to make a donation to the Hospice with a suggested minimum donation of £20. Every pound raised will help fund the free, expert care the Hospice provides to people living with life-limiting illnesses. The Hospice needs to raise over £6 million every year to continue delivering this vital service. For Christmas 2025, the Hospice hopes to raise enough through Christmas Tree Collection donations to fully fund one year’s salary for a nurse on the Inpatient Unit at the Hospice.
Those who register their tree for collection by 26 November will be automatically included in a prize draw to win a free Christmas tree from the Hospice, kindly provided by The Real Christmas Tree Farm.
Tree collections can be booked online in advance and full details can be found on The Hospice of St Francis website stfrancis.org.uk/treecollection or contact the Hospice on 01442 869555 or by email at fundraising@stfrancis.org.uk.
