Rotary Young Photographer Competition

Berkhamsted Rotary Club is launching a ‘free to enter’, Dacorum wide, Young Photographer Competition for young people between the ages of 7 and 17. The theme is ‘Colours of Nature’.

There are three entry categories based upon age. Prizes of £100 and an engraved plate will be awarded to each category winner of the event. The winners will be entered into a District (Herts/Beds/Bucks) competition and its winners again will go on to the Rotary National final.

This year’s entries must be digital but you do not need a clever camera to enter – mobile phones and tablets will work too. Rotary have run this popular competition for many years, it is a lot of fun so why not join in?

The standard set last year was very high as can be seen from the selection above. Local young photographer, Tamsin Hall, went on to win the District and National Finals for the 11-13 category with her wonderful image: ‘Nightwatchman’.
