Rural Engagement Day

Police in Hertfordshire are to host several events across the county this week as part of a rural engagement day.

Officers from the Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) will join local neighbourhood officers and representatives from partner agencies at four different locations on Thursday 17 March.

The events will be held as follows:

  • 9am to 11am – Hertford town centre
  • 10am to noon – Berkhamsted, Ashridge estate, near the Natural England site
  • 1pm to 2.30pm – Royston town centre
  • 1pm to 2.30pm – Rickmansworth Aquadrome

PC Russell Robins, from the ROST, said: ‘We’re committed to working with our rural communities to ensure they remain safe places for people to live, work and visit.

‘The aim of the engagement day is to discuss rural matters and issues with local residents, as well as topics such as responsible dog ownership, equine matters and illegal fishing. We’d love to see as many people as possible on the day so, if you’re in the area, pop along and say hi. Your feedback really does make a difference.’

If you are unable to attend, you can still use the anonymous community voice platform ‘echo’ to let police know what you think they should be prioritising in your area. Your feedback will help towards shaping local policing priorities, initiatives and campaigns. Visit bit.ly/police-rost and have your say.
