Spring News from Beechwoods

Living Magazines Toby of Beechwoods

Thanks to Beechwood Fine Foods in Tring for this update on their activities and services during the  battle against Covid-19:

Normally at this time of year we would be writing to tell you all about the plans for the spring and summer events, the May Day Bank holiday and our traditional attendance at the Aldbury May Fair would be the next major event in the calendar but sadly not this year. Instead there appears to be several more weeks of lockdown ahead and of self isolation for the elderly and vulnerable.

We are delighted to have been able to help so many customers during the past few weeks, we have been open throughout, providing both delivery and collection services as well as welcoming walk in customers who are still able to be out and about. A big thank you for all your support.

After a few days of semi organised chaos at the start we now seem to have a system that works for most.

Collections

Monday to Saturday – For these we are able to take orders over the phone or by e-mail, for any day Monday to Saturday, provided we have 24 hours notice so that we can ensure we can order in bread, milk, yogurts, fruit and veg to try to meet requirements (obviously subject to availability from our suppliers).

Deliveries

Monday, Wednesday or Friday – We are happy to deliver within Tring and the villages, there is no minimum spend or delivery charge, we just ask that that it is fair and reasonable (not just a loaf of bread!); order by phone or e-mail at least 24 hours ahead of the delivery date.

Current Opening hours

Weekdays 8am-3pm Saturday 8.30am-3pm and Sunday 10.30am-12.30pm

Stock

Our systems are not perfect or sophisticated, the link below provides some photos of the shelves www.beechwoodfinefoods.com/product-gallery however these are indicative only as stock is coming in and going out daily, so if you want to check on what’s in stock please phone us.

Social Distancing

We have also put in place some social distancing measures within the deli and are operating a 1 in 1 out policy, so service times can be a bit longer than usual but hopefully it is making the experience of coming in to the deli calmer and less stressful for everyone.

And finally, don’t forget Sarah is still happy to bake cakes to order and we still have a selection of cakes to enjoy by the slice at home.

With our very best wishes, keep well.

Toby and Sarah
