Step Back in Time with Berkhamsted Dinosaur Trail

Join Dacorum Borough Council and Age UK Dacorum on a roar-some Jurassic adventure.

Dacorum Borough Council has partnered with Age UK Dacorum to bring a free family dinosaur trail to Berkhamsted.

The interactive trail, which can be found on the LoyalFree app, launches on Monday 1 August and will run over the summer until Wednesday 31 August.

Explorers can use the LoyalFree app to travel along the trail in Berkhamsted, finding the dinosaur posters in High Street shops and scanning each QR code to reveal fascinating dinosaur facts. Those who complete the trail, visiting all locations and scanning the QR codes, will be entered into a prize draw to win a range of prizes from participating shops.

Age UK Dacorum want to raise awareness of the work they do for older people and their carers in Dacorum. Along the trail, donations can be made to support Age UK Dacorum on their JustGiving page.

Dacorum Borough Councillor Alan Anderson, Portfolio Holder for Place, said: ‘This is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy our local high streets over the summer holidays, and we are pleased to be able to offer this alongside Age UK Dacorum to promote the great work that they do.’

Charlie Hussey, Development Officer at Age UK Dacorum said: ‘Age UK Dacorum is very proud and happy to be part of this wonderful, educational,family initiative. A natural alliance for us, as summer school holidays are often a time when grandparents look after their grandchildren, and this is an ideal opportunity for all to participate in a fun activity.’
