Supporting Cats Protection

If you’re a cat lover, no doubt you’ll be aware that International Cat Day was on Saturday 8 August.
‘While research shows that watching funny cat videos online can boost a person’s energy and create positive emotions, according to the experts owning a cat can also be good for your heart. Petting a cat is said to reduce stress levels, and with people having such hectic lives, they can be an easier and less demanding choice of pet than owning a dog.’
You can find out more about International Cat Day online.
It seems appropriate therefore to do a quick shout out for the Cats Protection Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted branch, who need your support right now.
They are mostly self-funded, so donations and sponsorships are very important to them and vital to the running of the rescue. Every penny donated goes towards food, accessories, vet bills, etc and they also have a neutering voucher scheme whereby they can help with the cost of neutering owned cats in the area.
They are a small unit, manned entirely by volunteers and always looking for new fosterers and volunteers…if you would like to get involved please contact them via any of the links below. They are open 7 days a week attending any cat in danger or reported stray or abandoned.
And finally, they do often run competitions and much more on their Facebook page.
