Team Herts welcomes new police officers

Herts New Police officers 5 March 2026

Another 16 new police officers are joining Hertfordshire Constabulary’s frontline teams following their graduation.

On Thursday 5 March, Chief Constable Andy Prophet congratulated the latest cohort of officers to join Team Herts.

He told them that they can look forward to a career where no two days are the same and where they will make a real difference to the communities that they serve.

‘Policing is a job that takes special individuals. It’s not something that everyone can do and while often challenging, it is a career that is hugely rewarding,’ he said.

‘These 16 new officers are now joining frontline teams who are relentless in their pursuit of criminals to ensure we bring offenders to justice and protect the public.’

The latest graduates come from a range of backgrounds including a primary school teacher, a painter decorator, a restaurant manager, student and waiter.
