Tennis for All in Tring on 17 May

Dacorum Borough Council and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) invite local residents to join the celebration and try tennis for free.
The Council is delighted to announce the official reopening of the Pound Meadow Tennis Courts in Tring, with a free community launch event taking plan on Saturday 17 May from 10am to 1pm – and everyone is invited to take part.
The event celebrates the completion of a £50,000 transformation of the courts, delivered in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA as part of the Parks Tennis Project – the largest ever investment in public park tennis facilities across Britain.
This investment has seen the courts fully resurfaced, with new fencing, nets and the installation of a modern, gate-access system that allows users to book sessions easily online. Operated in collaboration with Tring Tennis Club, the upgraded courts are now more accessible than ever, supporting free and low-cost tennis sessions for residents of all ages and abilities.
To mark the reopening, the Council is inviting the community to a special launch event featuring free coaching taster sessions, activities for all ages, and a ceremonial ribbon cutting attended by local representatives and LTA guests.
