The Guardians of St Francis

Hospice of St Francis Corporate Partnership Network March 2024

The Guardians of St Francis is a giving circle that help fund the Adult Bereavement and Children’s Services at the Hospice of St Francis.

It costs over £100,000 a year to run these vital services and last year helped 638 adults and children, on our doorstep, deal with their grief – every 22 minutes a child in Britain is bereaved of a parent. There are two tiers of commitment; £2,400 for 4 years or £1,500 for 3 years but any help on funding, small or large, would be very welcome.

Oliver Guardians of St FrancisOliver is currently having 1:1 counselling support at the Hospice of St Francis and talks passionately about the benefits it has for him and his family. There is nothing more powerful than hearing from a teenager using the service and how it has helped their journey.

‘I am forever in debt to The Hospice of St Francis for the constant care and kindness they have shown me … they are truly changing people’s lives with their support.

‘You have the opportunity to help continue the support for people like me. And as someone that has gone through the process, I can tell you with full confidence that the money you would give will change people’s lives. So please help the Hospice that has and forever will help me.’ – Oliver (age 18).
