The Pepper Foundation

The Pepper Foundation is a small local charity raising money to help fund children’s hospice at home nursing care in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The funds we raise support nurses providing specialist paediatric care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Care is provided free of charge in patients’ own homes and is unique in this area as it is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We believe in giving every local child the choice to be cared for at home surrounded by the people and possessions they love and that patients and families living with complex health needs should be able to enjoy the best quality of life possible, however short that life may be.

We have also introduced a number of days out throughout the year for the patients and their families, from a trip to the zoo to specialist soft play sessions. It is extremely important to us to facilitate families meeting other people in similar circumstances.

We rely extremely heavily on the support of our local community to raise these funds. We have a fantastic events programme where you will find something for everyone from Golf days, Ladies’ lunches and Winter Balls to the fabulous annual Pepper Show.
