Congratulations to ‘The Tyre Changers’ who are celebrating the first anniversary of their new garage unit at the Airfield Industrial Estate, Long Marston, near Tring.

The Tyre Changers was founded by Jon Gates in March 2015. Jon has been a tyre fitter and technician since 1997, working in the motorsport industry for 18 years. During his motorsport career Jon fitted and serviced tyres for Formula 1 stars Jenson Button, Mark Webber, Fernando Alonso, David Coulthard and Sebastian Vettel. Between them they achieved 122 F1 wins and 7 World Championships.

For the past 9 years The Tyre Changers has provided a mobile tyre fitting service to Tring and the surrounding villages; it was and remains the only independent mobile tyre fitting service in the Tring area. In March 2023 The Tyre Changers opened the unit at the Airfield housing a larger tyre machine in order to fit tyres to all types of cars and vans, including run flat, low profile and extra large tyres.

Conveniently located near the estates cafe, customers can enjoy a free hot drink while waiting for their tyres to be fitted.
