Tring High Street Maintenance Works

Works will be carried out between the roundabouts at Brook Street and Langdon Street by Eurovia on behalf of Hertfordshire County Council from 17 October to 15 November 2024.

The road needs to be clear of parked vehicles to complete the work, so please make sure your vehicle is moved outside of the road closure area at least 30 minutes before the works commence.

What you need to know:

  • These works will take place over 3 phases to minimise disruption.
  • Vehicles will not be allowed access through the road closure during the works, except for emergency vehicles. Please speak to the on-site team on the day who will be able to advise on access or contact Eurovia on 07703 796403/Hertfordshire Customer Service on 0300 123 4047 or email Aroads@Hertfordshire.gov.uk.
  • Access to driveways and cul-de-sacs within the closure extents will not be available when working on the phase that affects that junction.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
  • When working on Phase 1 vehicular access to Church Yard will not be available.
  • Where it is safe to do so, the County Council may be able to exercise discretion in exceptional circumstances in order to meet its public sector equality duty.
  • Please refer to the yellow signboards on the street to see the exact dates, timings and permit number. Any date changes to these works will be communicated on the yellow signboards at either end of the street and at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/roadclosures.
  • All businesses will be open as usual and will still be accessible via the footways.
  • These works are weather dependent and may be postponed if poor weather is forecast.

  • In order to create a safe environment for the workforce and members of the public alike, the works will be completed using a full 24 hr road closure.
