Tring man is Arctic ace

Tring Living Magazine Yukon Arctic Ultra won by Tring man

Tring’s Neil Thubron has won what may be the world’s toughest and coldest race, the 300-mile 2015 Yukon Arctic Ultra.

Neil won in six days and 19hrs, hauling a 20kg toboggan for 16-24hrs a day. He was competing to raise money for Humanity Direct, a charity that funds medical operations for children in developing countries. Neil said: ‘I’m proud to have won but knowing that Grace [a 5yr-old Ugandan girl] will get her operation as a result is even better.’ To help Neil, visit humanitydirect.org by clicking here.
