Tring Park actress Rosanna comes ‘home’
Former Tring Park School actress Rosanna Harris appears in Legally Blonde at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre from 6-10 October. She spoke to Living about returning to Tring.
Did you grow up in Tring? If so, what school did you go to?
I didn’t. I went to Tring Park School For The Performing Arts (which was then known as The Arts Educational School, Tring Park) from the age of 11-18.
What did you love about Tring when you were at Tring Park School?
The school itself was incredible, with amazing grounds. We spent a lot of our spare time in the gardens and fields at the school.
How does it feel to come back on ‘home turf’ with a big production like Legally Blonde?
I’m excited to be performing so close to home as it means all my friends and family can come along. I also have some of my teachers from Tring coming to watch too. Legally Blonde is a dream show for me, so I feel so proud they can all come and see me in this so close to home.
Where do you live now?
Radlett, Herts.
What other shows have you been in since you left Tring Park?
Grease The Musical UK number 1 tour, War Of The Worlds Arena Tour, The Funny Girls and multiple pantomimes.
What’s next after the tour ends?
I can’t even think about it. I would do Legally Blonde forever more if I could. Hopefully something equally as fun and special.
Legally Blonde is the ultimate feel-good rom-com, based on the award-winning film starring Reese Witherspoon, and follows Elle Woods during her transformation from ‘It Girl’ fashionista to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love. Elle must prove she is more than blonde ambition, swap the changing rooms for the courtroom and learn that ‘being true to yourself never goes out of style’.
The musical has been touring the UK and Ireland since February, when it opened at Leicester’s Curve theatre, and finishes on 7 January 2027.
The multi-award winning musical features a book by Heather Hach and original music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin.
