Tring Park School for the Performing Arts has unveiled its Open Day dates this Autumn, offering young performers the chance to discover what life is like at one of the UK’s leading vocational schools.

Home to the new CBBC entertainment documentary series Stage Stars, the school welcomes day and boarding students aged 7-19 years, offering classes led by expert teaching staff and passionate industry professionals. With an emphasis on excellence in both academics and performance, the school ensures every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential, whether that’s in performing arts or academically.

Key Dates:

  • Prep Open Morning (Year 3 to 6) – 30 September, 10.30am-12pm
  • Open Day (Year 7 to 10) – 8 & 9 October, 11am-1pm
  • Open Day (Sixth Form) – 8 & 9 October, 3.30-5.45pm

Visitors will be welcomed with a guided tour, a talk from senior staff members, plenty of opportunities to meet the wider staff and students and even see a vocational class in action. As a hub for aspiring performers, the school offers vocational training across dance, acting, musical theatre, commercial music and technical theatre.

Student Karin, who is in Year 7 and starring in the West End production of Matilda the Musical, explains what makes Tring Park School special: ‘I get to experience the best of both worlds here at Tring Park – both academic and vocational. We not only have the best teachers but also have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and learn from the older students. The skills I’ve gained through my performing arts training have also boosted my confidence and social abilities, which have really helped me, not only during the audition process but also whilst navigating wider school life.’

Alumni span West End stages, TV series, and global cinemas – including Hollywood stars Lily James and Daisy Ridley, fan favourite Evie Templeton star of Netflix series Wednesday, and West End talents Joe Griffiths-Brown, currently starring in Les Misérables and Mia Carragher, taking on the role as Katniss in new production of The Hunger Games. With 1 in 4 current students having already gained professional experience, it really is the place to be for young performers keen to contribute to the exciting UK entertainment industry.

Elizabeth Odell, Director of Studies at Tring Park School explains: ‘We are excited to open our doors to the next generation of outstanding young performers. Whether your passion is acting, dance, singing or technical skills, come and discover why Tring Park School is a world-renowned centre of excellence for performing arts and academic education. It really is the perfect mix!’
