Tring Park School partners with the University of the Arts London Awarding Body to expand offering for Sixth Form

Tring Park School for the Performing Arts has announced that, from September 2026, it will offer three of its vocational courses for Sixth Form, accredited by the University of the Arts London (UAL) Awarding Body.

The UAL Level 3 Diplomas will be in Performance and Production Arts for the Acting and Musical Theatre courses, and in Music Performance and Production for the Commercial Music course. These intensive two-year qualifications combine practical training with project-based learning, enabling students to develop the creative, technical and professional skills needed to progress to higher education or careers within the performing arts.

With many schools offering students either a BTEC or A-level options, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is one of the few across the UK that gives students the opportunity to study for both, once they arrive at Sixth Form, embodying the school’s dual curriculum ethos. The diplomas from UAL Awarding Body, who focus on delivering pre-degree arts qualifications, provide deep and challenging learning, relevant to today’s ever-changing arts industry. At the end of the two-year courses, students will secure a UAL Level 3 Diploma, which is worth up to 84 UCAS points.

In recent years, approximately 10 per cent of Tring Park School students have gone straight into arts careers, with around 60-70 per cent choosing the option of higher education/further training and around 20-30 per cent choosing to take a gap year and defer their entry into University.
