Tring Park School for the Performing Arts is gearing up to host its first series of Open Days for entry for the 2021/22 academic year.

Due to current social distancing guidelines, the Hertfordshire-based school for day and boarding pupils will be hosting Virtual Open Days throughout the autumn term, however, it is also planning to conduct pre-booked individual school tours on 22 and 23 October.

The virtual tour will give parents/carers and children with a passion for performing arts the opportunity to see what a day in a life of a Tring Park School student is with visits to vocational and academic lessons, as well as a tour of the boarding facilities, classrooms, canteen and common rooms.

The tour will also include information about boarding and the school’s admission process as well as talks from the school’s head boy and head girl and a number of other students.

Tring Park School is both a day and boarding school for students aged eight to 19. Alongside a broad academic curriculum, the school offers courses in dance, acting and musical theatre to learners up to the age of 16. Sixth Form students are able to study Acting, Musical Theatre and Commercial Music up to age 18 while dancers can take a three-year course, graduating at age 19.

The school boasts a glittering alumni including: Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Lily James (Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, Disney’s CinderellaDownton Abbey and War and Peace), Jessica Brown-Findlay (Downton Abbey), director and choreographer Drew McOnie, who has enjoyed huge success as a choreographer and director in the West End and on Broadway and Bart Edwards, who is currently starring in the Netflix smash hit series The Witcher.

Last month, four alumni were named as leading cast members in the West End premiere of Frozen, set to take the world of musical theatre by storm next spring.

The ex-Tring Park School pupils include Joe Griffiths-Brown, Hannah Fairclough, Jake Lawrence Small and Matt Gillett, who will all be part of the first cast of Frozen, which will be presented at a refurbished Theatre Royal Drury Lane from April 2021.

Bookings for virtual open days and individual tours on 22 and 23 October open on 1 September. For more information, go to tringpark.com.
