Tring Radio are proud and excited to announce that following a decision by OFCOM, Bucks DAB Ltd has been awarded a licence to operate the small-scale DAB multiplex for North Buckinghamshire.

The news means that Tring Radio along with Bucks Radio, Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio and 3Bs Radio, together with a host of other new and local radio stations, will soon be able to be heard on DAB digital radios, making the stations much more accessible to a wider audience.

Tim, CEO of Tring Radio said: ‘Since the moment we opened our first ever show on the 1 May 2020 we have always been working towards this day, and local radio is especially important for all the communities it serves across the UK with the demise of BBC local coverage. All the stations in the winning bid are excited to bring a huge choice of local radio content to people in the North Bucks designated area.

‘Tring Radio has something for everyone, from current chart pop hits, through to those classic gold tracks you haven’t heard for ages, right through to cutting edge genres like EDM, Drum n Bass, Disco, Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Chillout, Rock, Indie, Alternative and more.’

The area advertised by OFCOM includes Aylesbury, Buckingham, Winslow, Waddesdon, Whitchurch, Aston Clinton, Thame, Tring and Leighton Buzzard. They estimate the population covered to be 203,736.
