Tring’s first pop-up Menopause Cafe
Tring Wellbeing Community (TWC) hosted its first pop-up Menopause Cafe at Jack & Alice last month with over 30 ladies attending to learn how local wellbeing experts can help them feel fab. Introductory talks from counsellors, yoga and Pilates teachers, holistic therapists and others gave everyone a taster of what support was available locally.
TWC founder Kim Harries says: ‘We were delighted to say that we had a great turn out for our very first Menopause Cafe. A huge thank you to our wonderful women of Tring for supporting us, sharing your stories and giving feedback. The lovely staff at Jack and Alice also deserve a big thank you for making us welcome and for the excellent venue and service.
‘We’re busy planning for more Menopause Cafes for 2019 with longer talks on specific areas of wellbeing such as getting a good night’s sleep, coping with mood swings, and managing peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms. We’re also working on ideas for other pop-up cafes to help with parenting, bereavement, relationships and living with anxiety and stress as well.’
