Witnesses Sought Following Assault in Berkhamsted

Detectives investigating an assault in Berkhamsted are appealing for witnesses and information.

The incident began in Hilltop Road, before continuing into Loring Road, at around 1.20pm on Tuesday 24 May.

It was reported that the occupants of two vehicles – two people in a white Nissan van and the driver of a light blue Subaru – were involved in an altercation, before one of them was assaulted.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, sustained an injury to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Carina Ng, from the Dacorum Local Crime Unit, said: ‘Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing at this time. As part of this, we are seeking independent witness accounts about what happened.

‘I’m appealing for anyone who saw the vehicles traveling in the area around the time, or who saw the incident itself, to please come forward. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage. If you can help, please get in touch.’

  • A 28-year-old man from Aylesbury and a 27-year-old man from Chesham have been arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH) and have been released on police bail until Wednesday 22 June.
