Witnesses Sought Following Assault in Berkhamsted

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Berkhamsted.

The incident occurred in the rear car park area of Berkhamsted Sports Centre, off Douglas Gardens, shortly before 9pm on Saturday 2 April.

It was reported that a man had become involved in a verbal altercation with a group of males, before he was punched in the mouth, which caused bleeding and a dislodged tooth.

Detective Constable Karen Jordan, who is investigating, said: ‘The incident occurred following a boxing event at the location. Our enquiries are continuing at this time to identify the suspect and, as part of the investigation, we would like to speak to anyone who was present at the event so we can establish the circumstances around what happened.

‘If you were in the area at the time and saw the incident, or the events prior to it, please get in touch.’
