Zoo-normous egg hunt at Whipsnade Zoo this Easter
Hop on down to Whipsnade Zoo this Easter for an enormous Easter egg hunt with a twist – families will be tasked with cracking a secret code to be rewarded with a tasty treat!
From Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April, children and their grown-ups can join the search for six gigantic eggs hidden within the UK’s largest zoo. Stamping their code-cards at each spot, kids will collect letters and numbers, which they’ll need to un-scramble to reveal a top-secret message (clue: it’s connected to the 200th anniversary of ZSL, the conservation charity behind Whipsnade Zoo).
Just like the animals at Whipsnade Zoo often put their cognitive abilities to the test with puzzle feeders to unlock their favourite snacks, at the end of the trail successful egg-splorers will exchange their completed code cards for a tasty treat, and can enjoy some fun Easter-themed crafts.
Sign up to become a Gold Member of ZSL before Easter, and you’ll have an exclusive chance to find a extra-special hidden egg and win a prize!
As part of their Zoonormous day out, visitors can crack on and explore Whipsnade Zoo’s 600-acre site, taking in the 11,000 animals that call the conservation zoo home including Asian elephants, 10 southern white rhinos including three-month-old calf Mick, and a herd of reticulated giraffes, including the herd’s new arrivals, siblings Leoni and Duke born just three weeks apart last December.
An excellent value day out, the Zoonormous Egg Hunt is free with zoo entry and under 3s go free – book your tickets online now at www.whipsnadezoo.org.
